Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition in which an individual experiences obsessive and intrusive thoughts or impulses that cause anxiety and distress. In response to these thoughts, the person engages in compulsive behaviors or mental rituals to try and reduce the anxiety or prevent something bad from happening. However, these compulsions only provide temporary relief and often interfere with daily living.
